Mastering the UC Personal Insight Questions with Gary Clark, Associate Chancellor for Enrollment, UCLA

Mastering the UC Personal Insight Questions with Special Guest Gary Clark, Associate Chancellor for Enrollment at UCLA

The University of California's Personal Insight Questions (PIQs) are a vital component of your UC application, offering a deeper view of who you are beyond academics. Unlike the Common Application essay, the PIQs consist of eight distinct prompts, from which you must choose four to answer. Each prompt delves into your experiences, qualities, and goals, aligning with UC’s holistic review process.

In this exclusive webinar, Gary Clark, Associate Chancellor for Enrollment at UCLA, will join us to offer expert insights directly from the admissions office. Together, we’ll explore the unique nature of the UC PIQs and provide actionable strategies to help you stand out. You’ll learn how to:

  • Select the Right Prompts: With guidance from Gary Clark, choose prompts that best highlight your strengths and align with what UC schools are looking for.

  • Emphasize Your Unique Qualities: Craft responses that showcase personal growth, resilience, and your contributions to your community, with tips from someone at the forefront of UC admissions.

  • Create Direct, Impactful Responses: Write clear, concise answers that effectively address each prompt.

  • Balance the Four Responses: Ensure that your responses combine to create a full, compelling picture of who you are.

Whether you’re just starting to brainstorm or finalizing your drafts, this webinar will equip you with expert strategies to create compelling, authentic PIQs that can make a difference in the UC admissions process. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear directly from UCLA’s Associate Chancellor for Enrollment!

This is a free webinar for students, parents, and educators.

If you can’t attend live, you can register and the recording will be sent to you afterward.
